Starter Piglet Grant

“Partnering for Your First Piglet.”

Through the Starter Piglet Grant, the Negros Occidental Hog Raiser Agriculture Cooperative — in partnership with the Provincial Veterinary Office’s of Negros Occidental under the leadership of Governor Eugenio “Bong” Lacson — helps new and small-scale farmers take their first step into sustainable hog raising. With healthy, high-quality piglets provided through the provincial program and hands-on orientation from the cooperative, qualified members receive not only livestock but also expert guidance on feeding, housing, and biosecurity to ensure strong herd growth and responsible production. This collaboration lowers start-up costs, equips farmers with essential skills, and strengthens the local pork supply chain while uplifting livelihoods across the province.
