About Us
The Negros Occidental Hog Raiser Agriculture Cooperative (NOHRAC) is a duly organized association of hog raisers in Negros Occidental committed to the sustainable development of the swine industry. Established to unify and strengthen the efforts of small and medium-scale producers, the cooperative provides an institutional platform through which members can access quality inputs, technical assistance, and support services. By consolidating resources and expertise, it promotes efficiency, productivity, and the responsible growth of hog raising operations across the province.
As part of its mandate, the cooperative facilitates the procurement of high-quality breeding stocks, feeds, and veterinary supplies, ensuring that members maintain healthy and market-ready hogs. It also implements training programs and workshops on biosecurity, animal welfare, and waste management, enabling hog raisers to adopt best practices and comply with national and local regulations. These initiatives not only safeguard the health of the animals but also enhance the competitiveness of the cooperative’s products in the marketplace.
In addition to production support, the cooperative undertakes marketing and distribution activities on behalf of its members. By establishing direct linkages with processors, traders, and institutional buyers, it creates stable market channels and fair pricing structures for hog producers. Through these efforts, the Negros Occidental Hog Raiser Agriculture Cooperative contributes significantly to local food security, rural income generation, and the continued advancement of the livestock sector in the province.
